Handing in ‘ Midstream’ urine

To examine urine, the middle part of the first morning urine is needed, this is called ‘midstream’ urine

Collecting ‘Midstream’ urine:

  • Women: Wash the pubic area beforehand with a washcloth with only water.
  • Men: Pull the foreskin back and gently clane the glans with a washcloth with only water.
  • First pee a little in the toilet and then collect some urine in a clean jar by holding it in the pee stream. (you can get a clean urine jar from the assistant)
  • Then close the jar tightly with the lid.

If you cannot come to the practice immediately, then store the urine in the refrigerator.

Please bring the urine’s before 10 AM. If you are unable to do so, please contact the practice.
